ABOUT THE RACE:
Participants must consistently run a distance of 6706 meters (6.706km) in less than an hour. After completing each loop, the remaining time until the end of the hour can be used at their discretion, including for eating, going to the bathroom, and/or resting. HOW CAN ONE PARTICIPATE?
Each participant will receive race kit: race bag + race T-shirt + medal of Backyard Ultra Tajikistan Khujand 2025. To receive medal, each participant needs to complete at least one loop.
The number of participants is not limited, but the number of medals is limited.
Medals are given out on a first-come first-serve basis. Those who have registered, paid and submitted payment screenshot in the registration form, we immediately reserve for them. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
How many meters or kilometers is 1 lap? - The length of one lap is 6706 meters or 6.7km
How long does 1 lap last? - One lap lasts 60 minutes.
Can I leave the start corral? - Participants must be in the starting corral at the beginning of each hour.
Will there be signals before each start of a new lap? - Yes, warning signals are given 3 minutes before each start.
When is a participant considered to have dropped out? - If a participant failed to start a new lap (for any reason) — they are out.
Can a participant rest if they finished the lap before the end of the hour? - Yes, once a participant has finished a lap, they can rest until the start of the next lap.
Can I leave the route or run a similar distance in another location? - No, participants cannot leave the route (except to visit the toilet). Races in other locations are not valid.
Do all participants start each lap at the same time? - Yes, all participants start simultaneously.
Under what circumstances is the winner determined? - The last participant who went out for a lap and finished becomes the winner. There can only be one winner. There is no separate male and female scoring. All other participants are considered to have not finished. If there is more than 1 participant left in the competition and no one goes out for the next lap - there are no winners. All participants who paid registration fee will receive custom made medal for the race.
When is the race considered finished? - The race is considered finished in two cases: when the last and only participant has finished the last lap, or if no one came out to start a new lap.
- During the entire lap, any outside help is prohibited. The support team can only be located and assist in the start/finish area.
- The use of aids (including trekking poles) and any means of transportation is not allowed.
- Participants are responsible for their own food on the course and in the start/finish area.
Will water be provided for participants? - Drinking water supply will be organized in the start/finish area.
- Slower participants should allow faster runners to go first.
- All Competition participants are personally responsible for their safety, life, and health.
- The Organizers are not responsible for the life and health of the Competition participants.
- It is essential for each participant to understand the potential physical and psychological risk factors, as well as the stresses that may arise as a result of participation in this Competition.
- During the Competition, participants may be exposed to high temperatures and cold.
- Participation in the Competition can cause hypothermia, hyperthermia, dehydration, hypoglycemia, hyponatremia, disorientation, mental, and physical exhaustion.
- All participants must be aware of the risks associated with participation in the Competition and accept these risks for themselves.
- By submitting an application for participation in the Competition, participants guarantee that they are aware of their health status, the limits of their physical abilities, and their level of technical skills.
- By submitting an application for participation, participants confirm that they absolve the organizers of any criminal and/or civil liability in the event of death, harm to health, bodily injuries, property damage, incurred by them during participation in the Competition.
- All participants understand that the route goes through a remote area, acknowledge that in case of an accident, emergency evacuation may take a long time.
- The Organizers do everything possible to ensure the safety of the route, but in the end, the participant should rely on their own skills and strengths. If you feel unwell, refrain from starting the Competition.
- If a participant uses medicinal, analgesic, or anti-inflammatory agents on the distance, they take responsibility for their use.
- In case of adverse weather conditions (dense fog, snow, downpour, or thunderstorm) the Organizers reserve the right to make changes to the route at the last minute, even during the Competition, to exclude potential dangers or conditions that may cause difficulties for participants. The Organizers undertake to inform participants about any changes. The Organizers reserve the right to suspend or cancel the Competition if the weather conditions are such that they put participants, employees in dangerous conditions.
- In case a participant suffers an injury that does not allow them to continue, they must immediately report to the Organizers' emergency contact number about what happened.
The Organizers reserve the right to disqualify a participant in case of his violation of the Competition rules.
Violations, for which the participant will be disqualified:
- The participant cut (shortcut) the distance
- The participant received outside help outside the start/finish area.
- The participant used individual accompaniment
- The participant ran under the registered number of another participant
- The participant used an aid for movement (trekking poles, stick, bicycle, scooter, car means of transportation, etc.)
- The participant started the race before the official start;
- The participant started the race after the start announcement;
- The participant did not reach the start/finish zone within the allotted hour;
- The participant started the race not from the start zone;
- The participant ran without the official Competition number;
- The participant ignored the Organizers' decision to withdraw from the distance (gross violations of the rules)
For the sake of the participant's health, the Organizers have the right to prohibit continuing the Competition.
